The first of the Adistar weightlifting shoes, the 1996 model came in two different slight variations. This one included a buckle and a outersole with lots of traction, and one used a velcro instead of a buckle with an outersole of lesser traction. Nevertheless, these shoes were used by the majority of weightlifters in the 1996 Olympic Games.
