The most iconic shoes in all of weightlifting; the Adistar 2008. A 'Bird's Nest' single layer ClimaCool mesh developed specifically for the Beijing Olympic Games. The midfoot and forefoot of the shoes contains PU-coated leather for a durable, form-fitting hold. An all new Torsion System was developed for the shoe, providing lightweight arch support while allowing the forefront and rearfront to move freely for better foot stability.

Poor product condition - seeking partial refund

I’ve already sent an email with my concern, so I’ll just go ahead and paste the body of that email here. Unfortunately I cannot attach pictures to this review.

To whom it may concern,

I recently ordered the size 12.5 2008 adistars for your website. First off I want to say I love what you’re doing. It’s awesome to see a legitimate retailer of vintage weightlifting gear, and I hope I can continue supporting your business as long as I’m involved in the sport.

I really hate to give you too much trouble, but these shoes are in far worse condition than the pictures on your website indicated. The black adidas stripes are peeling off (which I understand is typical of these shoes but was not shown in the website pictures) and worst of all, the sole on the right shoe is peeling off. I received these shoes yesterday and have done zero training in them. I’ve included some pictures to support my claim.

I would like to keep these shoes but I will have to take them to a professional for repair before I can use them at all. I’d like to politely ask to be refunded some portion of $845 USD that I spent on these. That is NOT an unfair price for a pair of Adistars in near mint condition, however these shoes are not nearly in the condition they appeared to be on your website.

Again, I hate to cause you trouble but I believe this is a fair request and I’m hoping with your reputation for good customer service, you can help me out here.
